एक box spool को बंद रखता है, दूसरे में heating/airflow भी है। दोनों को केवल “filament रखने का डिब्बा” समझेंगे तो खरीद गलत समस्या हल करने लगेगी। पहले तय करें कि dry spool को बचाना है या moisture ले चुके material को dry करना है।
तीन options को अलग नाम दें

उदाहरण के लिए Polymaker अपने PolyDryer setup में drying dock और storage box को अलग components की तरह बेचता है। यह useful distinction है। “Box only” listing और “box + dock” bundle को एक price comparison में बराबर न रखें।
पहले अपने spools का pattern लिखें
एक user के दो opened PLA spools कभी-कभार चलते हैं। दूसरा user अलग-अलग materials रोज बदलता है। दोनों की जरूरत एक नहीं। कितने spools open हैं, कौन-से materials हैं, storage कैसी है और repeat symptoms क्या हैं—एक छोटा record बनाएं।
सिर्फ stringing देखकर तुरंत नया dryer खरीदना जरूरी निष्कर्ष नहीं। Profile और दूसरी वजहों की जांच भी करें। Moisture और storage guide में यह फर्क विस्तार से है।
खरीदने से पहले छह practical checks
- Spool fit: सिर्फ “1 kg compatible” नहीं; diameter और width भी देखें।
- Material guidance: आपका exact filament और spool उस drying condition के अनुकूल है?
- Power और safety: Supply, placement और supervision requirements क्या हैं?
- Airflow/process: Heating के साथ moisture निकालने की design क्या है?
- Storage seal: Drying के बाद lid/ports बंद कैसे होंगे?
- Included parts: Dock, box, rollers और adapter में क्या शामिल है?
Specific temperature या duration खरीद के banner से नहीं, material datasheet और device manual के मेल से तय करें। Polymaker के manual में continuous mode को unattended न छोड़ने की instruction है। दूसरे devices के लिए उनकी अपनी instructions पढ़ें।
Hygrometer number को product score न बनाएं
एक box में 15% और दूसरे में 20% दिखा, तो अकेले इन readings से dryer की quality ranking तय नहीं होती। Sensor, temperature, location और test conditions समान नहीं भी हो सकते। Air humidity की reading filament के अंदर moisture का direct measurement नहीं है।
Fair test में वही material, initial condition का record, supported drying schedule और repeat print comparison होना चाहिए। यहां ऐसा test नहीं किया गया है, इसलिए “सबसे तेज” या “best dryer” claim नहीं दिया गया।
क्या silica gel से शुरू कर सकते हैं?
Dry filament के appropriate sealed storage के लिए यह उपयोगी हिस्सा हो सकता है। Packet condition और regeneration guidance भी देखें।
क्या एक dryer सभी spools का storage बन जाएगा?
Capacity और workflow देखें। Drying में पड़ा spool, बाकी खुले spools की exposure समस्या अपने-आप हल नहीं करता।
